A collection of tales, one chapter at a time.
Hello and welcome!I’m glad you found your way here. Dodson’s Bookshelf is a digital
corner of the world where stories live—fictional tales told one chapter at a
time, each unfolding like a well-worn book pulled off a shelf in a quiet
room.
This isn’t just a blog. It’s a bookshelf of original fiction,
where each blog post is a chapter in an ongoing story. When one book ends,
another will begin. The genres may shift—from mystery to adventure, from
small-town drama to a touch of the supernatural—but every story will come from
the same place: my imagination and a deep love for storytelling.
How It Works:
- Each story will be told in
serial format—chapter by chapter.
- Each chapter will be
posted as a blog entry, typically between 800 and 2,000 words.
- You can read along as I publish
or wait until a whole story is complete—your choice.
- The first story is called The
Dollar Map—an unexpected adventure sparked by a mysterious old road
map bought for one dollar in a dusty Kentucky thrift store.
What You Can Expect:
- Engaging characters
- Small mysteries and big questions
- Twists, turns, and a few
surprises
- Stories that are easy to read but
(hopefully) hard to forget
Why This Blog Exists:
I created Dodson’s Bookshelf because stories are meant to be
shared—and because there’s still something magical about reading a good tale,
one chapter at a time. Whether you’re here to escape, to be entertained, or
just to see what happens next, I hope you’ll stick around.
Thanks for visiting. Go ahead—pull up a chair, pick a story, and start
reading.
See you in the next chapter,
Ron Dodson
